With all this talk of Spring 2012 and the Indaba booking program, I started to forget that before April showers and May flowers, we still have a long stretch of winter endure. Lucky for us, the cold, blustery months of our infamous Canadian winter are pleasantly interupted by the joy and festivies of Christmas! This year, when decorating your tree, remember the nostalgic ornaments of your childhood and think vintage. Ornaments with Victorian snow covered villages, reindeers, children waiting by the fireplace for Old Saint Nick, and heavenly angels are popular this season. Antique animal ornaments in bronze, cream and gold, sparkling on your tree will also bring vintage nostaligia into your home. For this Christmas, I have fallen in love with Indaba’s vintage whale, seal, and swan ornaments. I’m even thinking of doing a vintage ocean theme–put a little west coast twist on the traditional holiday!
